omg packs and structure decks

hi guys just wondered what u all thought were OMG packs and structure decks for you...

for me atm star strike blast and the duelist revolution are amazing packs... deltafly is an awesome lv3 dragon type in the duelist genesis, star strike also has a load or really nice looking cards with decent or balnced effects.. (makes up for the shining darkness) dragunity drive is also looking to be something special. dragons finally get a new field spell with a decent effect (once per turn u can activate one of the following effects 1. add 1 lv4 or lower dragunity monster from yoyr deck to your hand. 2. send 1 dragon type monster from your deck to the graveyard.)
previous sets i thought OMG to are invasion of chaos, magicians force, stardust overdrive... there are others but ill be rambling again...

there are never really sets i go OMG to, only certain cards in the set that i think are good, but i never get those, one such was Dark Strike Fighter and another was Allure of Darkness so i got them right, tbh i still think some cards can change the game but just have not been seen yet

Malevolent Catastrophe. Most people won't have more than a few monters on the field at a time but most people will have at least one backrow.

Sets don't make me go OMG. They're just cards after all :3

Dark Rev 4 was the best set to hit this game IMO, and we didn't even get a proper print run of it.

Thats one thing I personally hold agaisnt this game with alot of malovelence.

you hold a lot of things against this game any more?

Like DR04 was actually the best set ever, and had some of the best cards in the best rarity ever (super rare) and the supers looked amazing, yet its the hardest set to get stuff from in a long time.

fair play i can't even find a list for the set xD

there is a lot of nice stuff in that set ... Icuaras Attack looks awesome

Super Rare Drilloid.

It was first released as a super, but you can never have enough Drillroids...

I thought Drillroid was first released as a common in CRV?

I must admit, you get some good stuff from it.

bought 2 so far, got Gold Rare: Blackwing Armed Wing, Blackwing - Gale The Whirlwind, Mystical Space Typhoon, Elemental Hero Prisma, Dimensional Alchemist and Judgement Dragon.

Also got Destiny Draw common, which I need, =D

basically the common stuff is mostly rubbish :/ most of the Gold stuff is good though

How is the common stuff rubbish, OCG Mist Valley, Ice Barrier and Worm support, reprints of Blackwings, Mali and D-Draw.

I am unhappy that PSZ is getting reprinted, because I own a Ulti 1st Ed one and the price for it is gonna drop big time.

Although I am looking forward to getting a gold rare gale and MST reprinted.

I have a Gale GOLD, it looks great

got an MST too, it looked amazing but I swapped it.

The Stardust just looks incredible though as Gold Rare, so does JD

The commons are bad because of a few things

1) there is no support for any top tier decks in them, sure there is blackwings but they are hardly tier 1 at the moment, a good deck with a brilliant player is tier 1.5 most are tier 2

2) there are two good reprints Mali and D-Draw and thats it seriously the rest is jank

3) they appear to be supplying cards to start a new deck, but that is not helpful mainly because any begginner is not going to buy something called a Gold Series, for one thing it is quite expensive, and another idea is that they will probably buy a begginer deck or a structure deck so wouldn't buy something like this

really there is no point expanding into the worm series, or the mist series because although there might be some good decks about there is nothing really useful in them that could ever be top tier unless the equvilant of judgement dragon comes out for them

However this being said the box is worth buying simpily for the Gold Rares that come with the box, three of them is really good and there is some quality re-prints both of staples for many decks, and of theme specific cards

Worm and Mist Valley are pretty good control decks actually, and the support in GLD3 is gonna be pretty good if you use it with the cards from the Hidden Arsenal packs. Having new cards is a lot better than just reprinting crappy commons as fillers like they did in GLD1 and 2.
